Please Note: Australian Standards state, new light or power circuits must be on a safety switch. Properly working safety switches save lives by cutting the power to an appliance, power outlet or light before electrocution can occur. A correctly operating safety switch will trip the power at less than 300 milliseconds. For more information see the Queensland Government’s ‘Electricity in the Home‘ document.

No Hot Water, Lights or Power?

Are you experiencing no:

  • Hot water
  • Lights
  • Power?

If your power has tripped, try this trouble shooting advice before giving us a call.

If your power is still not working, we can trace the fault and repair or replace the required parts / cabling.

Smoke Alarms & Safety Switches

The new legislation for smoke alarms came into effect in homes and rental properties as of 1st January 2022. It is mandatory all homes have working smoke alarms installed to keep you and your family safe if there is a fire. We can install smoke alarms to current standards in your home.

A safety switch will turn off the electricity in your home within milliseconds of a fault to protect you from a serious electric shock, but will only protect you if it is working properly and is connected to the faulty circuit (Queensland Government, 2020). Safety switches save lives. Ensure you have a safety switch on each circuit in your home because it minimises the risk of electrocution. We can install, check and test your safety switches giving you peace of mind. The risk is real – one safety switch may not be enough.
